Indonesia’s PT Pertamina (Persero) delivers first batch of SAF Indonesia energy major Pertamina said it has delivered the first batch sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) produced at the refining unit PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional. The SAF was produced through used cooking oil at the company’s Cilacap refinery using the co-processing pathway. The batch, approximately 32 kilolitres, will be used for a flight between Jakarta to Denpasar, Bali later this month by Pertamina’s airline subsidiary PT Pelita Air Service. Indian Oil Corp Limited certified to produce copro SAF Energy major Indian Oil Corporation announced that it became first company in the country to be certified to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) via co-processing pathway by converting used cooking oil (UCO) as feedstock. The Panipat refinery now meets the requirements of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), a global programme under the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
